Girls on the Run of the North State is a nonprofit program for 3rd- 8th grade girls, inspiring girls to be healthy, confident and joyful through using a fun, experience-based curriculum by integrating running a celebratory 5K at the end. GOTR is an international program across 200+ locations. Their mission is to make the seemingly impossible, possible.
The Chico State Child Development Department provides students with opportunities and well-rounded education of child development theory, research, and field experience. The vision of the department is for graduates to have field experience and value the diversity of children and families within and across multiple arrangements.
Catalyst is a nonprofit organization committed to serving the needs of all victims of domestic violence and their children regardless of ethnicity, citizenship, language, religion, physical disabilities, sexual orientation, gender identity or HIV status. Catalyst provides services including, but are not limited to, assistance through a 24-hour crisis line, emergency safe shelter and transitional housing, transportation, food, and clothing.
Red Hot Metal is the organizational name for the company that includes decorative wrought iron work and Cutting Edge Products which produce custom tools for glass artists. Red Hot Metal projects can be found around town, from the PG&E box transformer cover downtown to custom projects for Sierra Nevada. They do public, commercial, and residential metal work.
The Building Bridges Newsletter is released biannually, celebrating the discussion of diversity at Chico State. It features everything from important leaders on campus and in our community, to coverage of campus-sponsored events. Building Bridges is produced by the Office of Diversity and led by Tray Robinson. Our target audience is Chico State alumni, current faculty and students.
