Sierra Oro Farm Trail Case Study

The Sierra Oro Farm Trail is bringing awareness to their annual farm and wine trail during the month of October 2021. Our goal for the semester is to create more engagement through social media posts to promote each farm and winery, in hope of selling more farm passes. Nicole’s communications and events team includes a variety of organizations including a PR/marketing agency. TGC’s efforts will work in support of the bigger communication activities to promote the event


What We Did:

Sierra Oro Food and Wine Trail needed hands-on social media work, to cover events and promote local businesses. The social media support team participated in developing messaging for pushing ticket purchases; showcasing the farms and wineries participating; highlighting special events, etc. The month-long event needed coverage prior to October, and TGC stepped in to create awareness through On-campus promotion, Pitching news media for coverage of the event, and promoting the event at other community events.

Aside from social media, TGC worked alongside Nicole to promote a Holiday Box, which is a tasting box from clientele that participate in the Food and Wine trail. TGC produced newsletters and social content to raise sales of the box. Overall, TGC assisted the client with social media, PR support, Holiday Box promotion, and photography.
